Usually it is great, except when they are supposed to be open and they close early without any notice. I sent my fiance to get me food tonight and it was about 20 minutes before 9 (closing time) and they had doors locked and the employee shook her head and mouthed were closed, when it even said they werent closed until 9. My fiance was there 20 minutes before 9 to only get one gondola. La gondola bread is way better anyways, go there instead! We just tried avantis because it was closer to home, what a mistake.
The food was good, my family enjoyed it very much. Their Caesar salad was delicious btw...fairly priced and it was big portions with everything we ordered. Also our server was very kind and helpful, as was the rest of the staff. Overall a good experience!
I love to go to Avanti's for soup and bread on my lunch break. Good, filling food at a great price. Great service, best bread ever!
Oh man, everything was really really good. My fiance and I came up here for Texas. Italian Sausage hot sandwich combo and it was amazing!!!! The waiter is a really nice guy as well!!! I really recommend this place to anyone who likes Italian food!!!
Bread is worth the visit. Use to dine at this restaurant when attending ISU in the late 70's. Great value. Sandwiches are very good. Thirty-seven years between dining experiences and food still good.
