I had a bike fit with Alec and now I enjoy being on my bike. He made sure I was comfortable on my bike, he adjusted everything down to the millimeter. This was not an in and out ordeal, this bike fit took almost 3 hours. Alec first watched me ride my bike, then we talked about what did not feel good or right. Then the fitting began, it was like he waved a magic spell over my bike and now it fits me perfectly.
I bought a bike here in 2010 and have only received excellent service in repairing/maintaining my bike. I've had everything done from a simple tune-up to a defective parts replacement.. These guys know their stuff and have always been kind, accommodating, and more than willing to answer my questions. Prices are reasonable on products and labor and I have recommended them to friends and family for years.
I went there to get my chain fixed because it kept skipping when I would pedal. I talked to Sean right as I walked in and he was able to give me a quick answer to what was wrong. I came in the next morning and everything was fixed. Very affordable for a college student as well.
The cool thing about the bike fit at Vitesse Cycle is you can get the fit before you buy your bike and it will let you know which bike will best fit you. In my case, I already had the bike so Alec was able to adjust my bike to best fit me :)
Riding Route 66 and just passing through on a busy weekend, they fixed me up with some great new shorts and took my bike back for a tuneup and now it works perfectly... thank you guys!
I was surprised to see any negative reviews at all and attribute them up to customers with unrealistic expectations- no, they don't have a door greeter (go to walmart?) and yes, sometimes they are very busy. If you have many questions or a complicated repair issue, pay them a visit during slow hours and you'll be happy you did.
